Portland Housing Market Update - November 2019

Hello! Wanted to let you know the market is still stable in Portland.

The home inventory for Portland is holding steady at 2.4 months, which is down from 2.8 months a year ago. I’ve been noticing this smaller inventory as I search for homes for my clients. The average sale price of homes in Portland is at $459,300, up 1.4% from the same time last year, which is a year to year increase from 2018 to 2019.

Starter homes, will continue to be in demand, especially in the homes under $325,000.

There is a slightly longer time on the market for November from year to year. So if you are considering putting your house up for sale you will have less competition in the marketplace though it may take a bit longer than a Spring or Summertime sale.
