Steve and Sandy’s Story

Sometimes real estate connections start with a handshake… and sometimes they start with a curious neighbor catching you green-handed.

That’s how we first met Steve—he’d often stroll by while we were prepping a listing right behind his house in Sherwood. He’d stop to chat, ask a few questions, and check in on the progress. One day, he walked by while Kim was dyeing the lawn green after a sprinkler timer mishap left it a little too “parched”. That kind of honesty in action made an impression. And a connection.

So when it came time for Steve and Sandy to sell the home they had lovingly built 30 years ago and move closer to family in Arizona, they reached out to us. We were honored—and ready to help them take that next big step.

Prepping a Home with Heart (and Strategy)

Their home had great bones and thoughtful details, but like many well-loved homes, it needed a few updates to shine in today’s market. With everything in place, Steve and Sandy packed up, hit the road to Arizona, and left us in charge. And honestly? We love when people trust us like that. It’s not just a transaction—it’s their biggest asset, their memories, and often, their next chapter. We take that responsibility seriously (with a little joy and humor mixed in, of course).

The Spring Market Magic

The timing was great—the spring market was in full bloom. We hosted a lively open house and received multiple offers that very first weekend. After reviewing the options together, Steve and Sandy selected a strong offer from a lovely couple who felt like the right match for their home. The buyers were organized, motivated, and clearly excited—which made it possible to close a full week earlier than expected. Everyone was on their A game.
